About: Reforming the Feminine
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:2
This blog exists as an extension of Mars Hill Church’s women’s ministry. We are committed first to loving Jesus and allowing him to tranform us into his likeness. Secondly, we are committed to the women God loves so dearly, to encourage them. We are here to both humbly teach and to vulnerably learn through the Word and through his hand in our lives. In both aspects, we endeavor to first serve our sisters at Mars Hill and secondly other readers that may find us.
Since our first priority is to serve our real community of women, and as our aim is encouragement, we choose to not be subject to the demands or comments of readers who neither know or love us, and neither care to listen to our perspective, but would rather be critical. We welcome questions and criticism from our own women who are committed in love to us. This is not an open battleground for online arguments.
We reject being conformed to this world and its hollow and deceptive philosophy or human principles (Colossians 2:8), and we affirm Christ Jesus himself - in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3).
We are the voice of the imperfect, sinful, Savior-trusting and Savior-doubting, redeemed and ragged women of Mars Hill. As we learn from Jesus and from the Scripture, and are sanctified by his Holy Spirit in our lives, we hope to sound more like the voice of Jesus when it’s all said and done.
Additionally, to the end of encouraging women, we are including resources to biblical teachings, reviewing books, announcing women’s events, etc. A lot of the material and event information are already available at www.marshillchurch.org, but for the most part, it is scattered throughout all the other events and resources. This blog serves as more of a “central hub” for MH’s women’s ministry and resources.
