Pray For Us?
Hello readers,
I really appreciate all your love and support and the way you encourage us in our writing. I am so thankful that you honor us by taking time out of your day to read about our lives. I am humbled by the feedback we get when you tell us that we spoke truth into your hearts.
We’ve been online for 1.5 years!
With that said, I am asking you to pray for me as I think ahead to the future and how we can better serve you women through this blog. Will you take just a minute to pray for me? Pray for wisdom and ears to hear.
Last, I want to welcome feedback from our readers. Would you consider filling out this form? It shouldn’t take more than 5-10 minutes max.

Reforming the Feminine Content
Something I’ve never had the chance to say-
I’ve never liked the name “reforming the feminine.”
Why does the feminine need to be reformed?
Isn’t the feminine, made in the image and likeness of God, what sets us women apart as His beautiful image bearers and daughters? And why does that need to be reformed? And what are you wanting to reform it into?
Just some food for thought. In my opinion, it’s time for a new name.
Hi Amity! I think we are just dancing around terms. True femininity, as God designed it, is beautiful and needs no improvement or reform - you are right. But there are two factors that war against that: 1) worldly standards of femininity that disregard God’s original design for women and 2) the total depravity of women who are cursed and born into sin (just like men) that warps their original femininity.
So in BOTH those respects - we’d like to see femininity reformed… and back to the design God intended. One that is, yes, unique from masculinity and/or being animal, but human and feminine as God made us to be. Hope that clarifies the name for you!
Amity,
I agree with you, even though I understand the history of the name. I don’t like the negative sound it has, as if we’re trying to “fix women”. The word feminine is inherently beautiful, and our sinful nature doesn’t necessarily come from our femininity, but rather our humanity. And the word reforming sounds so disciplinarian - sanctifying seems more appropriate. Anyway, I am glad that you brought this up because I agree that if the blog continues perhaps it is time to consider a new name! I hope that readers are more encouraged and inspired by our posts, rather than always convicted or feeling like we’re “reforming” them!
“Reforming” is a great word gone bad (sort of like the word liberal). After thinking about it in our cultural contexts, I agree: its hard to get over the connotations of ‘reformatory school-ish’ to appreciate the purity and beauty of “feminine”. Redeeming might be better, but if we’re reinventing ourselves, as it were, maybe something completely new would be refreshing. We all love new perfume.
I was actually contemplated a post based on Amity’s comment: In 10 words or less, what does feminine mean to you?
A new name could be just that:
Feminine?
