At Mars Hill Church we have always honored Scripture as the means by which God has chosen to reveal Himself and His Truth to us. In keeping with that conviction, our community groups focus on building life changing relationships around the teachings of Scripture. And, to help people grow in their understanding of Scripture in their community group we provide both sermons and study notes along with other recommended study aids such as books, Mp3’s, websites etc. Our hope is that the community groups not merely discuss the content of the sermon, but go even further and discuss the actual sections of Scripture upon which the sermon was based. In this way, the collective insights from the personal study of each group member more fully enriches everyone’s understanding of what God is saying through His Word.
