Today I had the privelidge of teaching about worship to a reagoinal gathers of pastors from the Bremerton area. My friend Pastor Chris Swan hosted the event at his church, Seaside. We had a great time discussing a mission statement for corporate worship.
As promised here are the notes and here is a pdf copy of the slides I used today.
I hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions.
I am finalizing content and plans and should be making the official move from doxologist to resurgence next week. We’ve got some great stuff in store and I think it will be worth the wait.

We began Doxologist.com almost 2 years ago as the voice of the Mars Hill Church worship department. Much has changed since then. We learned a lot by doing this site but it has run its course and it’s time for the next project. Doxologist as you know it is over. We will leave the site up for a while as an archive but begining in the next week or two I will be blogging under my own name at the Resurgence. Resurgence offeres an opportunity for our content to see a much larger audience and link up with a lot of other great resources.
Also on the way in the near future:
More Psalms… We will resume our weekly series digging into the book of Psalms but you will see more input from some exciting guest contributors as well as a group on facebook to promote more discussion. If you’re not on facebook already I would encourage you to do so and look me up (timothy a smith).
More video interviews…
More music!!! This fall we be launching a musical division of the Resurgence called “RE:Sound”. For the first time ever you will be able to get Mars Hill records without coming to one of our buildings. More details to follow but I can tell you it will be digital, cheap and you will be able to officially use our music for free as long as you don’t charge people for it.
There will be a brief lull in content while we make this transition but we’re very excited about what’s in store.
For Jesus’ fame…
