Save the Date for “Making the Band” in ‘08.

It’s hard to believe but 2008 is almost upon us. And that means the leadership team for the music department is hosting another Making the Band event on January 28 in the Paradox. Make sure to save the date!

We did this for the first time a couple months ago and if you missed it, here’s the low-down. This is an event where we “cast a wide net” so to speak and invite all interested musicians out for some time of departmental vision casting and to help new music leaders network with others so that they can build their bands. In the past, the process of getting musicians involved at Mars Hill was pretty organic. One of us would have a buddy we could vouch for that played well and before long they were Rocking the Flock along side us. But as new Mars Hill campuses crop up, there are growing needs in the music department and we need your help. There will be more details to follow but if you’re at all interested in helping out with music ministry, please come.

PS, if there is a tech saavy person in the house that doesn’t play music but would like to help out our department exclusively, post a reply to this blog and I will contact you myself. We are looking for someone ASAP that can help us beef up this blog with more multi-media features with the possibility of building a collective-type site like Resurgence in the future.
