Downtown Campus Updates for the week of May 19th

Baptism PNGBaptisms at both Downtown services This Sunday
Baptism is an important Christian sacrament as we publicly proclaim our faith in Jesus and identify ourselves with His death, burial, and resurrection. They are also one of the most encouraging moments for the church as we get to see and witness what Jesus has done in our life. If you have not been baptized, this is the time…at the first downtown baptism…to obey God’s command and get baptized. Email us at: downtown@marshillchurch.org

The Call to Mission: Whether you are a long time member, new visitor or considering membership you need to get up to speed on the Mission of Mars Hill. The Call to Mission web page is a useful if not mandatory read for anyone wanting to understand the specifics of our mission to bring the Gospel to Seattle and beyond.

For those planning to become members at the end of the current Doctrine Sermon Series be watching for upcoming info about how to begin the Mars Hill membership process. For those who are currently members please use The City to renew your membership.

“Last Wednesday’s” at the Washington Athletic Club on May 28th

Cocktail WienersAs a way to help connect and encourage through the Mars Hill Downtown campus strategy, we will be having a monthly event after work on the last Wednesday of every month. We’ll alternate between a social (offsite location) and business speaker (at Downtown campus). This month it is at the Washington Athletic Club from 5:00 to 7:30pm. Come hang out after work and meet other Mars Hill people in Downtown Seattle for drinks, appetizers, darts, and pool at the private club room at Washington Athletic Club. Email downtown@marshillchurch.org if you need more information.

Serving needs and opportunities at the Downtown Campus
The Mars Hill Downtown Campus is a family united under Christ and as such we rely on everyone in our family to participate as an outward expression of worship. Here are some ways in which you can actively worship Christ with the Downtown Campus:

  • The Greeting Squad and the Security Team need help on Sundays. If the words greeting or security speak to your skillset, talents and/or desire to serve please email downtown@marshillchurch.org for more info.
  • Weekly web site publishing help needed: If you would like to help with the Downtown blog please email cyberjason2004@gmail.com
  • Thursday Morning Prayer continues every Thursday at the Downtown Campus from 7-8am. Show up, pray for the Downtown campus, pray for the upcoming Sunday Sermon, pray for our city and pray for many more to meet Jesus.
