The Call to Mission

CTM

This spring Mars Hill Church is ‘Calling to Mission’ all members and prospective members. Pastor Jamie Munson describes this idea on the Mission and Vision blog:

The “Call to Mission” is how we’re describing the collective effort this spring (and beyond) to renew, dedicate, and consecrate our commitment to Jesus and the mission he has given our church. In order to establish this call for transformation, maturity, and fruitfulness, updating and improving the way we care and provide for people at Mars Hill.

The Call to Mission efforts include:

  • The City—: our new and improved online network.
  • Doctrine—: Pastor Mark’s next sermon series (starting this Sunday) that will also serve as our new and improved member class.
  • An updated member process for prospective members of the Mars Hill family.
  • Current members will be asked to renew their commitment.

If you are not a regular reader of the Mission and Vision blog it is worth the time to read Pastor Munson’s post in it’s entirety and also become familiar with the Call to Mission web page. The CTM web page in particular is a great resource for understanding or re-familiarizing yourself with the core DNA for why we do church and what being on mission truly means.
