O-Town

It’s kind of ironic that, as our team leaves to go to Orlando, it’s 172 thousand degrees in Seattle! I wish this trip were a couple months ago, during the misery of Seattle cold and dampness, but oh well.
As I write this from the plane,
Mt. Rainier is huge as usual out the window, and Steve is nodding off on the shoulder of the stranger next to us…(I am rather proud of this pic I took, it takes a lot of talent to use a point and shoot!)

This week Steve, Chris and myself are going to be in O-town for some training from Great Commission Ministries. GCM is basically a missions organization that allows its staff members to raise their own salaries to do what God is calling them to do. In the future, the Mars Hill College Ministry plans on partnering with GCM more and more as another way for people to join our team, as they feel called.
Steve Sakanashi, of our team, is going to be going on staff with GCM in order to be a missionary to the University of Washington. If you want to learn more about Steve, and how to support him, check out his blog. Please pray for Steve and consider supporting him financially to get him on the ground at UW!
Additionally, I am going to be meeting with and speaking at a couple local college ministries and meeting with some national leaders in the world of college ministry. Stay posted, as we will be updating the blog a couple times per day on this LONG trip; we don’t get back until the 27th! Please pray for our team, as we will be planning for the next year of ministry as well.
