Children’s Ministry

Sunday Check-in Process

Children’s Ministry is offered to children 5 months old to grade 4.

If you’re new to the Mars Hill Children’s Ministry, please come 20 minutes early to the campus you’re attending to get familiar with the check-in process. You’ll need to fill out a registration card at the Visitor Registration desk and then go to the Children’s Ministry main check-in desk. Volunteers there will check your kid(s) in, you’ll be given a pager, and you’ll be directed to the appropriate classroom(s).

Parents are invited to return to pick up their kids when the sermon ends and worship and communion time begins. You’ll be asked to show your pager to the security guards outside of Children’s Ministry as well as the room/lead teacher in the classroom your child is in.

Safety and Security Measures

Mars Hill takes all the precautionary measures it can to keep kids safe while in Children’s Ministry.

All Children’s Ministry volunteers and staff have had a national background check, personal reference checks, and been verified as able to serve in the Children’s Ministry by the Mars Hill Shepherding Department. All those applying to serve must be regular attenders for at least six months to be considered for application.

During Sunday Services and Kids’ Kore, no one is allowed in the Children’s Ministry area unless they have a pager or a Children’s Ministry volunteer or staff badge. Children are not released to anyone unless they are able to present the pager and number matching the one of the person who checked the child in. No one who has been convicted of a sex offense is allowed in the Children’s Ministry - volunteer or parent.
